Showering before treatment is a personal preference. If you are indulging in a mineral soak with us, it is not intended for personal hygiene. See below for what is a mineral soak.
A salt bath is an age-old therapeutic soak, made up of salt and water. Our soaks include a specialized blend of Mediterranean Sea salt, Epsom salt, Dead Sea salt and Pink Himalayan salts. In addition to salts, other vitamins, minerals and essential oils are added to provide benefits targeting every client’s needs. Sea salt baths can support skin health, muscle and joint relaxation, mineral absorption, healthy sleep and reduce stress and more.
Depending on your health, there may be some specific suggestions, such as water temperature or length of time in the water, which your doctor will recommend. Each client has the liberty to change their own water temperature. Of course, if you are pregnant or nursing, have high blood pressure or seizures we suggest you ask your primary care doctor prior to booking your appointment.
The type of treatment that you will experience will dictate attire; however, for most treatments you will feel more relaxed without the constraints that undergarments usually provide. Just remember that all therapists are trained in special draping techniques to ensure that the only exposed part of the body is the area being worked on at the time. Upon arrival staff will direct you to a proper changing location and a robe and slippers will be provided.
Times vary based on the treatment received and each client’s needs. Our therapists are trained and licensed in their specific field and will give the best information based on each client’s goals.
Children are not allowed in treatment rooms due to the nature of services provided. In an effort to create a relaxing environment we ask that you leave your children at home.
Hydrate. Hydrate. Hydrate. Every treatment offered by The Corner Soak and Spa is designed around releasing toxins from the body. Drinking the proper amount of water is necessary pre and post treatment to avoid dehydration.
Tipping is never required but is appreciated. If you choose to tip, most agree it’s customary to tip between 15 and 20% for your spa service.
